From the very beginning, we knew GOT It Brand had to leave a positive mark on the world. To bring that mission to life, we launched the GOTTA Give Back program—where each quarter, we donate 5% of our profits to a cause that matters.
For our very first quarter in business, we’re proud to support Montefiore’s Excellence in Oncology Nursing Award.
Why this award?
Our founder, Victoria Wright, is the daughter of the ultimate GoalGetter: Karen Wright.
Karen dedicated over 20 years to the oncology unit at Montefiore Medical Center, going above and beyond in her care for patients and their families. In October 2019, she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Despite her diagnosis, Karen continued to show up for her patients and the community she loved, living out the very definition of strength, service, and purpose.
During that time, Karen set a goal of her own: to honor the exceptional nurses she worked alongside and those who would come after her. She developed the Excellence in Oncology Nursing Award to recognize nurses who provide outstanding care through the most difficult moments in their patients’ lives. She wanted this award to inspire continuous learning, compassion, and excellence in the field. In true Karen fashion, she declined to attach her name to it, insisting the focus stay on the nurses doing the work.
On April 15, 2024, our founder's birthday, Karen saw her dream come to life with the launch of the award. She had a goal. She made a plan. And she followed through. Just a few months later, in July 2024, Karen passed away peacefully, knowing she had accomplished the goal she set for herself.
A Note from Our Founder: My mother was the true definition of a GoalGetter. I’m honored to support a story, and an award, that so deeply reflect the mission of GOT It Brand.
She backed my dreams from the beginning, and now, it’s my turn to support hers. Without her, this company and this vision wouldn’t exist.
